Neuro Linguistic Programming

(NLP)

Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) has been around since the 1970s and works in a similar way to cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), with less talking. It is a collection of methods, tools, techniques and models which give a greater understanding and insight into human behaviour; the why we do what we do. This understanding can bring about a positive change in you as it teaches us to better understand the way our brain (neuro) processes the words we use (linguistic) and how our thoughts and behaviours impact and influence our past, present and future (programming).

"Throughout this journey, Debbie has given her time without reservation, will guide me where I need it, challenge me when she feels I am not seeing patterns and overall remained a friend at the same time. I would recommend her to anyone wishing to see how NLP can assist them."

How you think, affects how you feel emotionally and physically; depression and anxiety are associated with negative thinking patterns leading to distress. So if we look at your world wearing a different pair of glasses, you will see a new picture. If you wear different headphones, you will hear a different story. If you smell a different perfume, or touch a different texture, you will get a different scent and feeling. And if we alter that voice and the negative words in your head, then you can rebalance and hear a different story.

NLP has been described as a minestrone soup of techniques for change to effortless help you overcome problems that may have started very early in childhood. It is simply a way to understand how you think, communicate and behave or react to what we believe the world we live in is like. The main benefit of NLP is more insight, and therefore flexibility and choice on how to react, which in turn brings greater freedom and more possible options. So the view of our world changes and the way we behave inevitably alters to bring more balance. The results can be truly awesome and gratifying for both the Client and the life coach. And if the issue is too distressing to talk about, there are methods that work without having to share the details of the content. How cool is that?
